MBBS Slowly Becoming New BTech In India

Hope you're not surprised ready the headline of this article !

Yes, Today's we'll talk about your career with mbbs degree. Is it really worth doing mbbs after 2023? Are you going to reach your desired goals or accomplish the dreams you watched holding this degree?

We all know what's the situation for engineers in the country. When there's so much flow of freshly graduated people in the market, jobs available in the market will definitely decrease. You either have to build a greater resume or open your own business in the field. But not everyone can build greatest resume and budget for starting a business. What happens then? Most of people just sit at home and wait for an opportunity. Most of the time people are not able to find a perfect work opportunity for themselves and end up working for an underpaid job.

The similar issues mbbs graduates are facing after covid-19. During covid there was huge demand of doctors but after that the demand drastically decreased. Most of hospitals don't offer job tobbs doctors as their expectations for pay are higher compared to bhms/bams doctors and this is harsh reality in allopathic field (no offence to bhms/bams doctors).

Many mbbs doctors can't open their own practice because their career goals are different. Many want to do post-graduation and progress in the field. But at the same time doctors need financial support for their expenses, tution fees and exam fees which are very high as our collages and exam taking agencies think we're rich fellows 🥲. Some doctors have to pay loans for their educational fees. And all these reasons complicate their decision making, either to open a clinic or to work for any underpaid job or to study for masters ! Not every student is a topper to get a pg seat at government college ! This concept is not understood well by our community and governments. We work hard but luck is also a contributing factor.

Mbbs graduates are in a stage where they feel difficulty learning practical skills, study for pg exams and work simultaneously. May be the medical education system in the country is responsible for this, isn't it?

Let's talk about pay for mbbs graduates.

After investing so much money and time one will definitely look for a better opportunity but does it exists ? Freshly graduates are facing difficulty to get a well paid job offer. Medical college don't offer jobs for junior doctors anymore and even if some have job offer one has to have some support (jack) to get that job otherwise you can't work there even if you have 2-4 year of work experience. Private hospitals can't afford mbbs doctors as their demand for pay is higher compared to bhms/bams graduates. Currently in 2023 many mbbs doctors are facing difficulty to find a well paid job. If you're foreign medical graduate you'll be rejected just because you have completed your graduation from outside of India. It doesn't matter now if you have atleast 2-4 year of work experience at a good place but if you're foreign medical graduate you'll not be offered that position. May be in coming years there will be high competition in government jobs for mbbs doctors This is the harsh reality many fmg doctors are facing even after clearing the licensing exam.

May be there's more things to say about the current situation but everything seems similar to what our engineer friends and brothers have faced. May be field of mbbs is heading towards BTech reality. Yeah, there's more opportunities in the field of medicine but no-one is willing to offer any !!!

Hope governments will work towards taking care of our future doctors. So, the doctors can take care of their patients better.

We always try to present truth to the audience. If you relate to this or if you really like how we present the facts of the field, don't forget to share our articles to the other people.
