Winters In Shenyang | Medspacedaily

Hi Friends,

First of all i would like to thank all of you for giving much love and support to my first blog. Here i am with fresh new story. when i was thinking what to write next, a friend suggested me to write about my experience of winters in china. i'm sure it'll almost refresh everyone's little bit of memories.

Overview

Shengjing Hospital - second affiliated hospital of CMU

Shenyang is a city where mostly you can see two seasons, winters and summers. rainy you'll see often during summers and winters both. lowest temperature here is around -28 degree C and highest temperature is around 36 degree C. if you ask which one i like i would say of course winters because i like the cold more. cold here starts little bit from November  and you start taking your warm clothes out of wardrobe till the end of November.

The Autumn

The spring and Autumn season are the most lovely seasons ever here. Autumn comes with the message of the cold. you see beautiful yellow-red leaves falling everywhere on the footpath which increases the beauty of city.

Best Autumn you can feel at Benxi city near to Shenyang. A Trip to Benxi and mountains mountains in last days of September and October is really refreshing. everything in surrounding is filled with beautiful red and yellow maple leaves. the sound of birds chirping and water of lake and waterfalls will make your trip memorable. Red beach in panjin city is must to visit during month of October.

December

And the real cold starts from now on. till the half of December the cold rally increases to unbearable levels😂. you'll see very less people in parks. because of cold people close their shops and go back to home around 4-5 p.m. and you'll see the sun going down and it'll be dark just around at 5 p.m. if you wanna go out first of all you need to get your weapons ready haha, wearing sweaters and all warm cloths from up to down.

but our desi people are still little tough who sometimes go out wearing shorts & slippers and manage their feelings about cold😂. whenever i go to store to buy something the store-keeper used to ask "don't you feel cold?".

we're just visitors here but Chinese people are from here only and they have experience about the cold here. many of them don't even go out after 5 p.m. fearing the cold. sometimes i wonder why? i remember when my Currier got delivered in morning, i went to receive it. i was in hurry so i didn't wear the shoes, just went in shorts and slippers. there was an "ayi" passing by who show me. she was literally scolding me in Chinese like "don't you feel cold boy?", "run back to your home" and i was like "no ayi, mei wen ti, it's alright, bu leng - bu leng" and that was really funny😃.

Now i would like to share a little experience of my short journey to campus.
i went to new campus located at Shenbei district with my friend. we arrived at the Pu He Lu station and took 197 bus from there to the campus. and guess what, the bus got sick suddenly half the way. the cold didn't even leave the bus😓. and we had to get out of the bus in that extreme cold around at 9 p.m.😳. we already had our jackets on but still that cold and wind was making us shiver. fortunately we got the Texy and got to the campus. spent a night there and in morning we went to complete our work there. actually the area around the campus is very open and you can guess the wind flowing in that open area looking at the picture below which made us feel extreme cold. we were running toward the building to get ourselves to the safe and warm place. we finished out work and then had lunch at west gate and started our journey to the city.

but till the end of December the cold gets extremely high. the temperature goes down between -10 to -20 and it feels like -26 degree C😑⛄. Most of the day when you get out of your home you'll see cars, roads, trees everything covered with White, so beautiful and attractive to the eyes. but the cold is felt on second day of snow day. and even that white beautiful snowy ice turns into ugly mud😂. that day you really feel difficult and disgusting to walk on the roads and foot path. sometimes the ice melt away from roads due to which many people slip on road and it becomes funny scene. really need to be careful while walking on that icy roads haha. but hats off to that food delivery guys who does their job at any situation let it be a snowy day, rainy day or the days after that.

January

In mid January the cold is at it's peak around -18 to -22. during the beginning year of our Med School we had to stay at the campus. we used to go to lake and click the pictures. the lake used to get frozen completely, you can even walk over it (fearing not to get inside😁). but that was the amazing experience.

guess you went out to buy vegetables and grocery but you forgot to bring your hand glows and you have to carry big heavy bags to home, i can feel that Man😆. students mostly go to home country for holidays in first week only and miss the real cold days experience.

thank god Buses have heaters😂

Last holidays i stayed here in winters. that was fun time actually. studying at home and going out on weekends, sometimes to buy grocery without hand-glows😅. but the real fun days are "Chinese New Year". the whole weak you see people burning fire-crackers in evening mostly. that views are extremely enjoyable. and next morning you'll see all roads and areas outside the societies filled with garbage of fire-crackers and people cleaning it. and most importantly enjoying 'Palak Pakora' with Tea during -22 degree C cold days is just amazing.

Anyways that experience sometime can't be expressed in words. i am sharing some pictures here and you can guess the beauty of Shenyang during this time. but believe me less cold in Delhi is more Stronger than -22 C of Shenyang.  this time also i have to stay here in winters. the month of January has already began, let's see how it goes haha.

This cold lasts till the march first week. it starts decreasing and the summer starts....
